H&M WEAR THAT FESTIVAL CAMPAIGN
DESIGN / DISPLAY / VISUAL MERCHANDISING
H&M wanted to bring the festival feels to the menswear department of their flagship stores in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
In conjunction with clothing brand Smiley and speaker brand JBL, the installation consisted of a window takeover and in-store 'hot spot' featuring festival setting and live DJ!
An additional requirement of the brief was the added functionality of assisting male shoppers with festival-ready outfit inspiration, following the insight that, while great at choosing individual items, they sometimes feel unconfident in creating a complete outfit (my wallet wishes I had that problem).
A speaker wall backdrop was created, with real amps and subs, evoking 'sound system' culture. These sat behind oversized freestanding letters, complete with foliage texture, spelling the word FESTIVAL.
Inside, card engineered speakers appeared on mass, with deckchairs and DJ booth to complete the look. Polaroid images of the festival range were scattered around the display, with the ability to mix and match them for bespoke outfit creation!
The takeover ran over the course of a warm Summer weekend and was hugely successful in getting the crowd hyped up for festival season!
