TANGURU CAMPAIGN

Britvic had just launch a new ATL campaign which was generating quite the buzz!

It featured a lively character called the Tanguru who would appear out of nowhere to help people out of incredibly embarrassing situations.

Aired only after the watershed, the ATL campaign was more than a touch risqué, which suited the brand greatly and generated the edgy impact Tango is known for.

The challenge came in how to feed that feel and energy into a Summer in-store campaign, which for obvious reasons had to be a bit more family friendly.

Obviously, as you lose the 'after the watershed' scenarios, you loose the embarrassment which the Tanguru can save you from.

The thought was, therefore, maybe the Tanguru could save you from more than embarrassment, maybe she could save you from the boring, the every day or even just the plain old 'cringe'.

We adopted a competition mechanic which could see participants winning a range of items to save them from the 'everyday'.

 

Designed specially to resinate with the target market (16-25s), the items ranged from getaways, to bikes, consoles and even DJ equipment to rescue those 'awks' parties.
